At East Keilor Dental, our team works together to provide outstanding dental care for our patients. Our three dentists are committed to excellence, honing their skills with continuing education and using the latest dental technology to provide exceptional care.
We aim to help you achieve optimal dental health with education about your smile and routine preventive teeth cleans and checkups.
We love getting to know our patients and building long-term relationships with them that go beyond just dental history and into their personal lives. We hope you'll take the time to get to know our team here. We look forward to welcoming you to East Keilor Dental.
Dr Jonathan Goldberg
Although he graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2005, Jonathan has been involved in dentistry his entire life (his father and aunt being dentists). He also worked as a dental assistant for five years (at this practice) while he was studying to become a dentist.
Jonathan believes that continuing education is vital to providing the highest quality of dentistry for his patients and, as such, not only attends a multitude of national and international conferences and works as a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne dental school. His particular interests are preventative dentistry, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, management of snoring and sleep apnoea, and treatment of bad breath. He is also able to provide certain orthodontic management, including Invisalign®.
His favourite part about being a dentist is building friendships and helping patients achieve dental health and a confident smile. He also appreciates knowing his patients are well-educated in managing their own dental health.
In his free time, you might see Jonathan singing and performing (primarily musical theatre), or going to the football to support the Melbourne Demons, or playing table tennis and squash. A fun fact that people might not know about Jonathan is that as the shortest in his year, he once came second in the high jump in primary school!
Dr Dominic Ho
Dr Dominic Ho graduated from Melbourne University in 1989 and has been practising in Keilor East since 1990.
On graduation, he joined the Australian Dental Association and recently received his certificate for 25 years with the association (very much to his surprise). He also served with the Australian Army Reserves for 18 years before joining the inactive reserves in 2008. Since 2003, Dominic has been and continues to be a clinical demonstrator and examiner at the University of Melbourne Dental School.
The best part about being a dentist for Dominic is being able to help his patients resolve their pain or discomfort, patient education and answering questions, and offering solutions for their smiles and dental health. He also believes strongly in continuing education and regularly attends courses to further his knowledge and skills to bring his patients the latest advancements in dentistry.
Dominic is married and has two children. He finds practising dentistry a great way to relax from running after two very active kids! A fun fact that people may not know about Dominic is that he loves sci-fi and spends some of his limited free time watching sci-fi series and movies.
Dr Margaret Preston
Dr Preston completed her dental degree at Melbourne University in 1968, being awarded an Honours Degree and the first female to be the dux of the course. She has been a dentist for 55 years and has been with East Keilor Dental for 38 of those years.
Dr Preston was always interested in the medical sciences, but dentistry seemed more family-friendly. She loves making a difference in her patients' lives in many ways and influencing them to maintain their oral health for a lifetime.
Continuing education has always been a strong focus of her professional life, and she has attended many courses in all aspects of dentistry, both nationally and internationally, to maintain her knowledge of current research, materials, techniques and practice. Dr Preston's interests in dentistry include preventive training and dental education, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, paedodontics and oral medicine and surgery.
When she's not caring for patients, you might find Dr Preston gardening, travelling, cooking, and entertaining. She's also been known to restore and upholster furniture when needed. A fun fact that people may not know about Dr Preston is that she's adventurous and enjoys taking risks.
Susan French
Practice Manager
Susan is our practice manager, keeping East Keilor Dental running smoothly like a well-oiled machine. She's one of the first faces you see when you come to our clinic, and she's been in the dental field for over 35 years, with 34 and a half of those years at East Keilor Dental!
Susan feels that the most important and satisfying aspect of her job responsibilities is to try and ensure that patients are happy with the dental treatment they receive from our team. One of her favourite things about her job is her interaction with patients. Susan says, "I have been working here quite a while and have had the joy of seeing young patients develop into adults and have their own families. New generations continue to come to East Keilor Dental."
When she's not working with patients, Susan enjoys walking and spending time with her fur babies. You might also find her writing and creating music to share with others. A fun fact that people may not know about Susan is that she plays an electric organ.
